A dynamic, energetic and motivated leader, Jim has a wealth of experience in relationship building, coaching, consulting and sales. Jim currently owns and operates Jim Duffy’s “Love to Hit” Baseball Training and Consulting. Focusing on physical and mental skills development, Jim applies a holistic approach to an athletes’ overall development. Along with training, Jim aids high school baseball players and families, who aspire to compete at the collegiate level, navigate through the college baseball recruiting process. Jim also offers educational clinics and presentations to groups and organizations pertaining to college baseball recruiting.
Jim coached Division 1 college baseball for 17 years at Seton Hall University (9), Manhattan College (6) and Rutgers University (2). Known as one of the east coasts most hard-working and relentless recruiters, Duffy is highly respected for his approach towards player development. Over 20 athletes went on to sign professional baseball contracts under Duffy’s tutelage. Prior to his college coaching career, Jim spent four years as a professional baseball player in the Houston Astros organization.
Prior to his coaching career, Jim was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Fulco Inc., a subscription and product fulfillment agency. Jim attended Seton Hall University from 1992 -1996, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Studies. A four-year starter and captain of the baseball team, Duffy was a three time All Big-East Conference selection and named to the NCAA All-American team in 1995.
Duffy has delivered numerous motivational talks to groups in an effort to lead and give back. He has supported and worked directly with charity groups such as Special Olympics and Michael’s Cause, donating his time and effort to the organization of events and fundraising.
A proud husband and father of three, Duffy resides in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
